You know what they say, celebrity deaths come in three's. That seemed to ring true over the past three days. It's been a rough couple of days to say the least. Three deaths have come back to back to back. On August 27th, legendary college basketball coach, Lute Olson, passed away at the age 85 after suffering a stroke in the hospital. Olson is most known for coaching the University of Arizona Wildcats for 25 years. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame and the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame.
The second death was even more devastating. Yesterday, actor Chadwick Boseman lost his 4 year battle with colon cancer and passed away peacefully. Looking through social media today and last night, it was easy to tell that this one hit the people hard. What's incredible is that no one knew about his illness until it took him away from us. Just fuckin crazy. Guys, please read Coley Mick's blog about Chadwick...it's incredibly moving https://www.barstoolsports.com/blog/2814732/fuck-cancer.
The third death came early today. Former NBA player who led the Portland Trailblazers to two titles, Cliff Robinson, died of a stroke at the age of 53. Robinson won the 1993 Sixth Man of the Year award and earned an all-star nod. Robinson played 18 seasons in the league and played 461 consecutive games with the Blazers which is still a franchise record.
To all three of you guys, rest in power. All were taken too soon. 2020 continues to be relentless.
