Damian Lillard of the Portland Trailblazers took home the bubble MVP earlier today. Dame led all players in the bubble with 37.6 points per game which helped give the team a 6-2 record. Dame also averaged 9.6 assists per game and scored 51, 62, and 42 points in the last three games. Lillard's dominant play was again seen today when the Blazers beat the Grizzlies to clinch the last playoff seed in the West. The Trailblazers will play the #1 seed, LA Lakers in the playoffs.
Phoenix Suns Head Coach, Monty Williams, won the league's coach of the bubble award as he and the Suns went a perfect 8-0. I still think it's so dumb how the Suns didn't make the playoffs having a perfect record...but oh well. For the All-Bubble first-team selections, Luka Doncic, James Harden, TJ Warren, Damian Lillard, and Devin Booker were chosen. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kawhi Leonard, Kristaps Porzingis, Caris LeVert, and Michael Porter Jr. were selected for the second team.
With the regular season finally over, the traditional playoff tournament can begin. Below is the NBA Playoff schedule. Go Celtics baby!!
