The greatest soccer player in the world wants out of Barcelona. Messi has a contract until 2021 with Barcelona, but wants out now because they've been sucking. They last played last week in the Champion's League semifinals where they got smoked 8-2. Though he wants to leave, I'm not sure that will happen this year. Messi believed that he had a clause in his contract that allowed him to leave for free. It turns out that he did, but that clause expired in June.
In short, Messi can't leave this year, but his legal team is working on entending that clause so we'll see what happens. Manchester City is interested in signing Messi from Barcelona, but again, Messi will most likely stay in Barcelon for another year.
