Budda Baker Becomes Highest Paid Safety in NFL Hisory

The Arizona Cardinals have extended Budda Baker's contract by giving him a 4 year, $59 million dollar extension. This extension, which averages him $14.75 million per year, makes him the highest-paid safety in NFL history. Personally, I have never heard of this dude, but good for you Budda.

Budda is a two-time pro-bowler and is 24 years old. He accumulated 147 tackles last season and led the league in solo tackles with 104. He was the only player with over 100 solo tackles in 2019. Though he doesn't have any interceptions since coming into the league in 2017, he has the most quarterback pressures by a safety with 33.

It seems to me that the Cardinals are interested in keeping their young talent and improving their team. After some research, it seems to me that Budda is a solid player and Arizona needs those if they hope to get better. They have a lot of young talent and are headed in the right direction

In other contract news, the Eagles are in talks with Zach Ertz. It makes sense since the other stud TE's have been breaded up this year, so keep your ears out for a deal coming soon.
