Puig is Good for Baseball

This 240lb Cuban piece of steel and sex appeal has finally been signed on a one year deal by the Atlanta Braves. Yasiel Puig has been lingering in free-agency ever since the end of the 2019 season and since baseball has been on hold by the pandemic, hasn't given a team the chance to pick him up. But since he's back, wearing the navy and scarlet colors of the Braves, baseball's gonna get a little more fun.

Last year, Puig played for the Cleveland Indians and was traded later in the season to the Cincinnati Reds. Over the course of the 149 games he played, he batted a .274 average and put up 24 homers. The big right fielder will help Atlanta's depth problem in the outfield with Nick Markakis opting out of the 2020 season. His bat will also give the team a boost as it looks to capture the division and push deep into the playoffs.

Puig's baseball talent isn't the only reason why his return is good for baseball. His passion for the game is unquestioned and it often shows at the plate, in the field, and in the clubhouse. What makes Puig, Puig, is his personality. It's fiery, intense, and above all, he just wants to win. Some may take his passion as being a bad teammate or kind of asshole-ish but this guy is a character and I can't wait to see him play.

Puig starts his stint with the Braves in New York when the face the Mets on Friday, 7/24.
